Why MiraMar?

"Our week long stay in Yelapa was extraordinary.  Thanks to Kendra, Fernando, and extended family, we all had a wonderful time.  Fernando was a kind host who went out of his way to ensure that our needs were met (even dealing with our emergencies!) and that we had access to whatever we desired.  We felt completely welcomed and safe in this lovely village and have already recommended MiraMar Yelapa to a number of friends."

About Us

Familiar service in an exotic destination

A taste of local hospitality

As an international couple, we bring you familiar service in an exotic destination

MiraMar is owned and operated by Fernando and Kendra Garcia.  Fernando's family has been hosting guests in Yelapa for well over 30 years.  It all started with a little palapa.  When Fernando was asked to take over the family business, he built Casa Palmita and Casa Manta Ray where the palapa once stood.  Much has changed, but we still greet every guest with a smile and a big HOLA!

Fernando was born in Yelapa and Kendra grew up on a farm in Kansas.  We met while working in California and decided to expand the family business. Together we open up our homes and introduce people to the magic of Yelapa.  We both love the peace and adventure that the town has to offer. As a native Yelapian, Fernando has a special tie to the community and land.  Kendra especially likes that there aren't any roads, so there aren't any cars. No traffic, no noise!!!  We are both so happy on Yelapa's beaches, in the ocean, and walking around town that we decided to celebrate our wedding here! There's a short video too.

Kendra currently works planning events and hosting Yelapa guests while Fernando manages Okley fishing trips and boat expeditions and just opend El Cerrito Restaurant and Bar.

Sharing information about our wonderful little paradise is our passion, so be sure to contact us if you have any questions.  We look forward to transforming your vacationing experience!
